The laboratory

  •  The laboratory at Göteborg Pediatric Growth Research Center (GP-GRC) (Tillväxtlaboratoriet) is a specialist laboratory in pediatric endocrinology. We receive samples from across the country. Today, more than half of the daily work is hormone determinations for health care around Sweden and the remainder consists of clinical research studies.
  •  The laboratory has established assays and biological reference intervals specially adapted for pediatric endocrinology, several developed by the laboratory.
  •  As part of the business at GP-GRC, development and research are carried out at the laboratory in collaboration with scientists and graduate students.
  • Quality work is a large part of the daily work and GP-GRC laboratory. GP-GRC Laboratory leads and is responsible for an external quality assurance partnership with five other endocrinological laboratories in Europe.
